Meditation is a mind-body practice of turning one’s attention to a single point of reference. It involves focusing on breath, or on bodily sensations or on a particular word known as mantra. Meditation is just turning your attention from unnecessary thoughts and focusing you on the current moment.

There are many forms of meditation, most of them originated in ancient spiritual and religious traditions.  It is practiced for many reasons, such as to gain physical relaxations and calmness, to improve psychological balance, to cope up with ill health or to improve overall health and well-being.
